What are the HUEYs?
The HUEY awards recognize local organizations which have encouraged healthy
behaviors within their organization based on the criteria below. One winner
from each category will be awarded up to $1,000.
Anyone may join Healthy U and compete for the HUEY awards
in the following categories:
- Small Business
- Corporation
- School
- House of Worship
- Individual
Organizations will be judged on the following:
- Results – overall improvement in participant’s Waist-to-Hip Ratio and Smoking Cessation
- Policy – programs implemented to make permanent policy changes made to promote healthy lifestyles
- Programs – innovativeness and creativity for healthy programs
- Participation – number of people participating in healthy activities/programs
- Teamwork – fostered camaraderie and support within the organization
- Outreach – your organizations impact and involvement with other organizations Percent – portion of the organization that are Healthy U members
Individuals will be judged on the following criteria:
- Results – overall improvement in participant’s Waist-to-Hip Ratio and Smoking Cessation

permanent lifestyle changes to your everyday life.
- Outreach – your impact and involvement with other community members or organizations.
